Jalen Rose Calls John Wall Dropping Nearly $50K At Strip Club ‘Charity Work,’ And He’s Absolutely Right

Last weekend, John Wall dropped stacks at a Dallas strip club – $47,000 to be precise. Many people were quick to judge, but Jalen Rose gets it, and he came in with one of the hottest takes in recent history. The retired NBA player didn’t just defend the actions of Wall, he praised them for being charitable to the hood, and compared them to Russell Westbrook’s $1 million donation to UCLA.

Jalen Rose calls John Wall's reported $47K spree at a strip club "charity work".

Before the mediasphere stuffs Rose for the comment, I’m going to step in and defend him on this one (big-time endorsement, I know). Many will scoff at the comparison between buying lap dances and a donation to a university, but consider this: 33 percent of strippers are in college. Seriously. Another huge percentage are probably single moms who got knocked up by some rich asshole who promised her the world before sneaking out of bed one night, hopping in his black Cadillac, and driving away forever. Not to discredit Westbrook for throwing a mill at UCLA. What he did was great. But big universities blow all their money on buying bigger jumbotrons, more prestigious head coaches, and thicker rims for athletes. Deposit that cash in between Candi’s ass cheeks, and it goes directly towards her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

In fact, I think it’s about time we started counting fraternity stripper night as a philanthropy event.

John Wall, keep making it rain, player.

He better be careful or he’s going to be like those idiots on the ESPN 30 for 30 “Broke”.

He makes 7.46 million a year, for him, spending 47k is the same as if someone who makes 45k a year spent 240 dollars, he’ll be fine

that’s what it seems like but he only makes money for a VERY short amount of time compared to the average person so he doesn’t make even that of a good surgeon over his lifetime but he spends like a CEO of a Fortune 500 company… and thinking like what you are saying will in fact land him on “Broke.”

Let’s be honest, dude that took that video of Wall making it rain is lucky he got out of that strip club alive, let alone with his phone intact.

I get why he called it charity, because the money is going to somewhere that is less fortunate. I just get that feeling that the money won’t be spent similarly as if the money actually went to a charitable foundation.

Oh, a non-profit Charitable Foundation that has its board members all making 6 figures? Yea, I can’t imagine a foundation wasting money…

Meanwhile, Destiny might need to pay rent or buy her kid a Christmas present. I’ll trust the girl on the pole.
