Michigan State Alumnus Perfectly Trolls Michigan With Festive “Twas The Last Play Of The Game” Poem
Michigan State’s season has been nothing short of unbelievable. They toppled both Michigan and Ohio State in away games without leading either game for a single second of regulation. They then recovered from a referee-caused loss to Nebraska and beat previously unbeaten Iowa on an amazing goal line play. With Bama getting in because they’re Bama and Oklahoma not playing in a conference championship game, there is no team more deserving of a spot in the College Football Playoff than Michigan State, with Clemson coming in at a close second. The story is just too perfect for Sparty not to win it all.
Why not combine a perfect story with a classic one? That’s what The Only Colors’ fan and MSU alumnus Ducking D’elvon did when he got all up in Michigan’s grill by parodying “Twas The Night Before Christmas” with the hilarious “Twas The Last Play Of The Game.”
‘Twas the last play of the game
And in the Big House
Maize and blue fans were ready
“Little Brother!” they’d shoutTheir team up by 2
Just 10 seconds remain
And thoughts of Paul Bunyan
Danced in their brainsSpartan Nation was glum
It seemed much too late
It stood 4th and 2
On the State 48Coach D on the sideline
Gathered players to hear
They call them the Rangers
And their mission was clearEvery man knew his job
And each Ranger all
Come hell or high water
Must get to that ballThe teams took the field
Not a Spartan was back
They took to the line
And were primed to attackMaize and blue fans may wonder
As they toss in their sleep
Why they had 2 gunners
When no one was deepThe snap came in low
So the punter reached down
The ball hit his hands
And then hit the groundMore rapid than eagles
Those Rangers they came
And Coach D he shouted
And called them by name“Now, Macksood! Now, Harrell!”
“Now Leimbach and Grayson!”
“On, Dowell! On, Willis!”
“On Monty and Jalen!”Then what to our wondering
Eyes did we see
But a forceful collision
And heard “The ball is free!”That ball it took flight
In the chaotic action
And went straight to the hands
Of Jalen Watts-JacksonThen off to the end zone
Those Rangers they sped
To flip it all upside down
In this game they’d not ledWith blockers aplenty
And green grass in sight
A hero named Jackson
Was surrounded by whiteAnd old Sean McDonough
Announcing that run-back
Couldn’t help that his vocal cords
Started to crackAs the ball crossed the goal line
Disbelief filled the air
With hands to their heads
The stunned crowd could just stareThe Rangers had done it
They’d finished the trip
The only casualty in white
Was poor Jackson’s hipThe clock read all zeroes
The Spartans had won
Their dream of a title
Was not yet quite doneAnd into the air
Of that Ann Arbor night
Rose loud Spartan cheers
Of “Go Green! Go White!”
Harbaugh, response?
Yikes. Have fun in Orlando, buddy..

Funny how they have the guts to troll UM, the very team that allowed them into the playoff. They got beat fair and square and it took a miracle for them to win. But they’re just a bunch of unappreciative fucks over there anyway.
10 years ago at 10:15 amLap me all you want. If you know anything about football, you know it’s true.
10 years ago at 10:21 amIf you know anything about football, you know when you beat your rival, it doesn’t matter or how, you give them shit till the next year’s game.
10 years ago at 10:43 amWinners win. 7/8
10 years ago at 10:46 am*35-26-2. Not gonna be long before little brother is back in his place.
10 years ago at 11:17 amOlder sister is gonna need some of those “5 star” recruits to pan out if they plan on ever dominating little brother again.
10 years ago at 3:07 pmI thought Michigan guys were still in hiding after that throttling by osu…the team MSU beat to earn the right to play in the CFP
10 years ago at 11:14 amSparty dominated that game by pretty much every statistical category. UM was lucky to even be in a position to blow the game. And they did blow the game, so go cry somewhere else, like into your pillow.
10 years ago at 4:07 pmThe only categories U of M led in were rushing yards (58-62) and 3rd down conversion percentage (23%-26%). MSU had double the amount of first downs (20-10) and led in total yards (386-230). The only reason U of M was in the game in general was because of the great punting by the same guy who cost them the game in the end. Why don’t you check a stat line the next time you come strolling in with those big arguments there, chief.
10 years ago at 5:07 pmIf anyone “allowed” MSU into the playoff it was Ohio State, a more impressive win than Michigan, or Iowa in the Big Ten championship
10 years ago at 5:30 pmDid you forget getting anally probed by OSU? Keep talking big, have fun in whatever consolation bowl game you’re in, see you after the championship.
10 years ago at 1:49 amI kinda already threw that in bud
10 years ago at 10:16 amThis is why Michigan State is the most valuable program in the world, man! Harrison don’t know shit about football!
10 years ago at 10:16 amThat was a work of art.
