A Memoriam For All The Fraternities We Lost In 2015
Today, we pause to take a moment to remember those who are no longer with us in the Greek community.

Their kegs have been tapped. Their letter-less houses have turned into dusty graveyards of crushed beer cans, red solo cups, filled-to-the-brim dip spitters, and broken appliances. Memories ignited by the phrases “You won’t” or “No balls” are now fading and distant. In only a few years time, chapters that were campus powerhouses for over a century will be long forgotten by a new crop of students once their tales of debauchery go by the wayside and seventh-year seniors finally graduate or give up on getting a degree altogether. But not today. Today we remember. We remember both those wrongly done by an ever-changing, Greek witch hunting world and the shitheads that absolutely deserved to have the kibosh put on their organization.

9 years ago at 10:34 amGetting kicked off campus was the best thing that ever happened to us. We kept our national charter so now we can operate without having to answer to IFC on campus. You just need organization; also being one of the only Fraternity with a complex (school won’t allow fraternities on campus to have a house or complex) attracts large amounts of kids during rush. Your first 2 pledge classes after getting kicked off are key. Its hard, but its worth the extra work we had to put in.

The Nation 2 years ago was already soft and it made national news, if we did that again I’m almost sure our now soft as baby shit, liberal minded, rainbow child, safe space having country would simply crumble in on itself like the house in poltergeist and simply disappear into nothing leaving a patch of scorched earth in the shape of the Lower 48 states between Canada and Mexico.

9 years ago at 12:46 pmFrat is just an idea. We’re only in the spotlight because of the media attention. Once everyone gets bored with us it’ll be business as usual. Fraternities represent something that a lot of people don’t understand and that scares them. They don’t like the idea of a system that turns out successful men and women. They are jealous and hypocritical and we will win because our way is right.

However while I do think some fraternities may continue on with business as usual, (Like mine did in 2013, and was promptly removed from campus by our NATIONALS) I think this is where the underlying problem is. Two major fraternities have completely, entirely removed the pledging process. Fraternity members may be in the spotlight as you say, but even more so are the National offices that are in charge of said frats, and you can see how they cower away from the public’s opinion, and aim to please. So no, I don’t think things will ever be the same. We live in a time of being politically correct and fair, and the fraternity idea does not go with that. (As much as I would like it to, I’m just being realistic. Graduating in 5 months and hazing is an absolute joke from what it was in 2012 when I got on my campus. I wouldn’t even consider it hazing.)
