Map Shows The Most Hated College Football Teams In Each State
If there is one thing we do well in America, it is hating things. We hate different opinions, different political parties, different social classes, and even different choices of women. There’s really nothing that we won’t hate. This, of course, includes college football teams. Every fan hates another team. If you don’t, you’re either not a real fan, or your team’s not a real team. Me? I hate my own football team for not continuing to pay recruits so we can throw out a championship squad year in and year out. Assholes.
Which states hate which team the most? Reddit went out on a mission to find out which college football teams are hated the most in each state. Check out the map.
It’s not shocking to see some of the hated locations. Oklahoma hates Texas. Texas hates Texas because there are nine other schools (TCU, Baylor, A&M, Tech, SMU, Houston, Rice, UNT, UTEP) who haven’t won as much as the Longhorns have in their history. When your history is as illustrious as Texas’ is, the more you let other fans let know it, the more people hate you. Expected to see more Bama hate in the SEC country, to be honest. Like maybe Arkansas? You know, since they don’t have a real rival? Why not just hate the team that makes the conference look good? Missed opportunity.
It’s still funny to me that the state of Missouri hates Kansas football. Yeah, I get the whole “Border War” rivalry thing, but it’s still Kansas football. You’ve joined the SEC now, Mizzou. Go hate on Vanderbilt or someone like that. Picking on Kansas is like being the bully in high school who picked on the mentally challenged kid. Just not a good look..
