Trolls Are Using #SignsYoureABernieSupporter On Twitter To Make Bernie Supporters Look Like Idiots

The great thing about the internet is that the idiots who used to just say dumb stuff to their friends before social media became a thing are now coming to light. I can now point to some guy named Anthony from Oregon’s tweets and say, “that guy right there has the mental capacity of a pea.” Campaign season only makes it easier to find these dimwits.

Take for example, Bernie Sanders supports. What they lack in smarts, they make up for in “compassion” — or so they want you to believe. They never learned simple economic policies or researched countries like Greece, Sweden, or Finland (those two Scandanavian countries have close to 10% unemployment rates and Greece is dead. Yay socialism!). So when I came across this fun hashtag on Twitter, I knew there would be some good troll tweets. I wasn’t disappointed.

But my favorite of them all…

        Free markets with little to no regulation worked great for derivatives and housing…if by great you mean almost destroyed the whole damn world economic system. Free markets aren’t an all or nothing proposition, because some markets are inherently extremely risky. If you can’t understand that proper oversight and rules are needed in the industries that possess the greatest moral hazard and largest threat to economic stability, then you have no business speaking on the issue.

        Apparently math isn’t the only thing you find difficult to comprehend.

        Government meddling in the previously-free housing market almost help destroy the world economic system. Politicians – specifically Barney Frank and his merry band of leftist stooges – encouraged/mandated Freddie and Fannie guarantee mortgages made by banks to poor folks and minorities who couldn’t otherwise afford a home at market rates. Social justice groups like ACORN – another leftist organization, albeit now defunct because their corruption was exposed – pressured the banks into doing the same. The banks made high-risk loans because the government – in the name of social justice! – insulated them from failure. In a truly free market, those loans would have never been made, as no bank would have voluntarily taken on that level of risk.

        But what the fuck do I know? You saw The Big Short, so you obviously have a firm grasp on macroeconomic theory.

        Thank you Billy, people trash capitalism as a failure, but this country has never had real capitalism. Government has allowed monopolies to exist only where they want them and has destroyed the incentive to start your own small business.

      Rand Paul is the Bernie of the right. His economic policies are just as fantastical and absurd. His ideas sound “fresh” and “creative” to those who share his ideology, but really that’s only because no one else was dumb enough to try and sell that nonsense. He will never sniff the nomination.
