David Hasselhoff Is Broke, Needs Our Help

According to a report from MSN, David Hasselhoff is struggling to get by financially as of late.

From MSN:

David’s dismal financial state was revealed after the actor claimed he’s no longer able to support his ex-wife Pamela Bach, and confessed he currently only has $4,000 in cash to his name.

The news piece cited low European tour ticket sales and high child support payments as reasons the Hoff isn’t able to save money. Out of his estimated income of $112,000 a month, he loses most of it to child support payments, taxes, and other expenses. The declining ticket sales for his performances don’t bode well for him, as he remained a superstar in Europe long after his days in Baywatch and Knight Rider.

I, for one, am glad to welcome him to the under 4 grand club. It isn’t so bad here. In the title of this piece, I mentioned that we need to help the Hoff out. I don’t mean that anyone needs to start a GoFundMe or anything like that; all I’m saying is that we need to throw him a bone to help him get back to the top.

So David, you can have this one for free: Go perform a song at the DMZ between North and South Korea. Why there? Because back in 1989, Hasselhoff performed his song “Looking for Freedom” on top of the Berlin Wall, solidifying his superstar persona in Europe. The performance is actually credited as being one of the major factors in the dismantling of the wall, and it put the eyes of the world on him. If he goes to the 38th Parallel and sings his heart out, he just may be able to recapture the magic, and perhaps be able to make some child support payments. Don’t give up, Hoff..
