Study Finds Women Are Equally As Misogynistic As Men

Finally, equality triumphs. Send word to all the social justice warriors in their safe spaces, because another fight for equality can be put to rest. Praise be to the social media soldiers, the hashtag heroes, and all who have championed for change, for it has arrived. Or rather, it was always there. Researchers from across the pond investigated trends in misogynistic tweets and the people tweeting them and came up with some very interesting results.

From BBC:

Over a three-week period, think tank Demos counted the number of uses of two particular words as indicators of misogyny.
It found evidence of large-scale misogyny, with 6,500 unique users targeted by 10,000 abusive tweets in the UK alone.

The Demos study also looked at international tweets and found more than 200,000 aggressive tweets using the words, “slut” and “whore”, were sent to 80,000 people over the same three weeks.

What BBC didn’t mention, was that from all those tweets, Demos found the trends over time among genders for using misogynistic language were nearly identical and equal. EQUALITY WINS… Or does it? A separate study from Dove found that in 2014, over 5 million negative tweets about body image or beauty were posted. It also found that 4 out of 5 came from women talking about themselves.

So let’s break it down. Men have been blamed for the oppression of women through the perpetuation of negative stereotypes and general misogyny, yet women are just as likely as men to treat other women like garbage, and far more likely to treat themselves like garbage.

So what’s the conclusion here? Women are the problem. As sure as the n-word won’t go away until songwriters stop using it, misogynistic language won’t go away until women stop using it on themselves.

There’s some flawed sampling at play here. “slut” and “whore” are not misogynistic terms. I for one love sluts and whores.

I wonder if its projection. Girls call each other sluts, whores all the time and are very judgemental to other girls…so they think we think of them the same way making us sexists

Somewhere out there is a linebacker-sized feminist reading this article, muttering angrily about patriarchal appropriation between mouthfuls of organic cheese puffs and whipped cream

Politically incorrect, but factually accurate. Acknowledging that will be deemed a hate crime in a few years.

soooo… since we’re equal now, you no longer have to face the discrimination generated from men solely having the privilege of displaying bare chest.

    Now show us your tits!

Men will still be blamed – facts have never gotten in the way of the feminist narrative.

While women shame sluts I encourage them. So I guess in that way I’m a feminist.
