I guess you could say that… *snickers*… Dustin Johnson was on a roll.

On the par four 10th hole at the Memorial on Sunday, Dustin Johnson hit one of the most memorable shots of his career. But it wasn’t exactly a good shot. Take a look for yourself:

I like the guy who was trying to direct the ball into the drain. What an asshole. Somebody had some $$$ on Johnson blowing up in his final round, which is one of the safest bets in golf. You can always make money by betting against Johnson on a Sunday. It’s the closest thing to a sure thing out there.

DJ is just taking a page out of the Steve Holt Golf Guide (available now on Amazon for $0.35) by using the cart path to his advantage. It’s almost as effective as using the grandstand seats as a backboard.

Was DJ’s shot planned? Probably not. But it ended up working pretty well for him. Johnson finished the hole with a bogey, which is solid considering the fact that he was hitting his second shot from a shrubbery.

William McGirt eventually won the tournament in a playoff with Jon Curran. Maybe next time, Deej.

    Played a round today. Shot a relaxed 78 that could have been a 74 with better bunker play and putting but my ball striking is there. I have a qualifier for the Southern Amateur on Thursday at my home club and get to watch some US Open sectional action at my home club as well. Hopefully watching them will rub off a little. There are some good players in the field but it was a disappointment to see Hossler WD. Would have loved to watch him being a Texas fan. There are still Texas alum like Cody Gribble in their though as well as great players from OU and OSU.
