So Drake Had This Raptors Superfan Murdered For Taking His Spotlight, Right?

Drizzy has been ripping off the Spike Lee shtick for the better part of the last two years with his hometown Raptors — conveniently trash talking players and referees courtside just as Toronto has finally become relevant since the Vince Carter/T-Mac days.

Dude wants the superfan spotlight, so when he got shown up in his own backyard during the biggest win in franchise history by a fellow Raptor supporter, of course this was the next logical step.

Here’s a refresher from game 4 of the man that trumped Drake’s fandom, Sukh Deo.

Two weeks later, and homeboy gets murked in cold blood on the streets of the 6.

Sukh Deo, 34, was inside a white Range Rover when two men started firing at him just before 3 p.m. local time in an alley near the busy intersection of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.

Toronto police Supt. Reuben Stroble told reporters at the scene that the fatal shooting “is a big surprise for this area, especially at this time of day.”

The luxury vehicle had at least 14 bullet holes visible on the driver’s side window.

I think we can all put two and two together, and frankly, it’s a nice change of pace to see the rap game get its edge back. Just didn’t think Wheelchair Jimmy would be the one to return it back to its roots — literally murdering the competition. Some much needed street cred for a guy that just released a Charmin soft album in “Views.” Hopefully this transitions back into the hip-hop community and we get back to the good ol’ days of mainstream rap rivals actually turning “twitter fingers into trigger fingers.”.
