Texas Man’s Genius Investment Saves His Home From Floods

A Texas man is sitting high and dry despite record flooding in Brazoria County this week because of a seemingly insane product he read about on the internet.

Randy Wagner decided to take a chance on something called an Aqua Dam, a product he discovered online.

Rosharon, and many parts of Brazoria County were filled with military vehicles and airboats to facilitate mandatory evacuations when the Brazos River began to overflow.

Instead of leaving, Randy filled up 400 feet of 30 inch high tubes made of plastic and fabric with water to create an inflatable barrier around his house.

“I was the crazy guy. Everybody was kinda going by, laughing at me. $8,300 is to me a small investment on a house that could have two feet of water in it and cost me $150,000 in repairs.” Wagner said.

There’s something deeply satisfying about making something so crazy it could never possibly work blast off in a flash of blinding success that makes all the idiots who weren’t on your level fall back on their asses. I experienced something similar when I suggested we blow the weekly social budget on a house trampoline. Have you ever seen drunk sorority girls in summer tops bouncing on a trampoline? Do yourself a favor and set one up.
