Germany’s Reaction To Brexit? Fuck It, Let’s Get Drunk

Britain shocked the world yesterday by voting to withdraw from the EU, sending the pound tumbling, markets collapsing, and causing British students who spent four years on EU-related law or policy degrees to collapse in a pool of their own tears.
For the European countries that trade with Britain and have a mountain of shit to wade through in the next couple months, the best reaction came from Germany, which wrote just this on Twitter:
That’s right. Germany is done for the day. They’re going to hit the bars and get drunk. They can get back to work in the morning.
Solid answer. Prost!.

10 years ago at 4:57 pmSo is it time to buy or what?
10 years ago at 5:01 pmIt’s best to short equity’s that are traded in pounds. Dow dropping 400 or 500 points is usually a great time to buy, but they said the same thing in 07
10 years ago at 8:45 pmNot necessarily. Markets usually come back to equilibrium and this is currently not a major enough event because there is a bureaucratic process Britain has to go through before they actually leave, which will take about 2 years. Additionally, stocks have been valued quite highly lately so this small hit doesn’t make for a “must buy” opportunity.
10 years ago at 8:47 pmThere seems to be a pattern with Germany trying to forget about its past
