Wall Street Ace Sued For Charity Event Involving Half-Naked Babes, Gun-Wielding Midgets, Excessive Destruction
Champagne showers. Rapper Ace Hood. Babes in little to no clothing. Midgets wielding golden champagne guns while dressed like Uncle Sam. Hedge Funder Brett Barna went full on Jordan Belfort for his annual Sprayathon 2016 party over the weekend. Now, the owner of the mansion, which Barna Airbnb’d for the little get-together, is suing him for a cool million.
The owner of the Hampton mansion claims Barna assured him the party would be a fundraiser for an animal charity involving around 50 people. But after 1,000 people left broken furniture, used condoms, and post after post of social media evidence in their wake, it seems Barna may have underestimated the turnout.
Barna, a portfolio manager at Louis Bacon’s Moore Capital Management, is also refusing to pay the homeowner for the $27,000 rental.
Here’s the homeowner’s take on the situation, from Page Six:
The owner, who asked to not be named, told us, “Brett came to me dropping Louis Bacon’s name and saying he was a big deal with the Robin Hood Foundation. He said there would be 50 people at the event and it was for animal rescue. But the only animals there were the people, a thousand of them. They drowned themselves in Champagne, they had midgets they threw in the pool, they broke into the house, trashed the furniture, art was stolen, we found used condoms. So many people were there that the concrete around the pool crumbled and fell into the water. It was like ‘Jersey Shore’ meets a frat party. We are preparing a massive lawsuit . . . We’re waiting to serve him. Brett was last seen on Sunday chugging Champagne with two midgets.” Wild social media posts show partygoers dousing themselves in booze and dancing wildly.
The Sprayathon has become an annual shindig for Barna. Last year’s banger was cut short when partygoers managed to start a brushfire at a different Hamptons mansion.
A rep for Barna’s company says the event raised $100,000 for Last Chance Animal Rescue, adding that they hired cleaners and left the mansion in good condition. Page Six could not reach Barna for comment..
