If Donald Trump Tweeted His Sports Opinions

Donald Trump is an opinionated man. Trump, being the entertainer that he is, has taken the political world by storm with his approach that strays off the straight and narrow path of a normal politician with his lack of a filter when it comes to sensitive subjects. How does the Donald take his mind off crooked Hillary, you ask? He tweets about sports!

This summer has seen NBA owners throw around money like they are, well, NBA players. Cash hasn’t flown around like this since J.R. Smith cleaned out his checking account, in singles, to celebrate the Cavaliers championship.

With the increase in the salary cap coming this season, it appears anyone and everyone is getting paid. Except for me. Apparently, there isn’t much interest in a 5’11” white guy who always makes the extra pass…

Golden State made the biggest splash this offseason with the signing of former MVP Kevin Durant. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Durant now form a team we haven’t seen the likes of since the “Monstars” in Space Jam. They’re going to do so much winning we’re going to get sick of it.

Mike Conley currently owns the largest contract in the league after re-signing for $153 million with Memphis. Yes, you read that right. Mike Conley! That title is sure to last about as long as Russell Wilson did with Ciara on Wednesday, though. It appears that Conley has been doing his summer reading assignment…

Dwyane Wade, who has been a staple with the Miami Heat for the first 13 years of his career, recently signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls. Good luck trying to ride that banana boat of yours in Chicago during the winter. It will certainly be odd not seeing Wade in a Heat jersey this year. Sad.

The New York Knicks made waves by trading for Derrick Rose and then signed Joakim Noah. The two former All-Stars have been injury ridden in recent seasons, leaving many to doubt, including the Donald himself, if they will be able to bring a championship back to the Garden.

Detroit has faced plenty of difficult times in recent years. The city notoriously filed for bankruptcy. How does a city go bankrupt one might ask? By giving Andre Drummond $150 million, that’s how. Detroit just doesn’t win their deals anymore.

Austin Rivers is the son of Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. Austin wasn’t exactly a hot commodity on the open market, leading daddy to step in and set his son up for life with a new deal. Now where have I heard of someone getting started with a few (million) bucks from pops to build their empire from? Hmmm…

Lastly, let’s all prepare for the sporting event of the weekend with UFC 200 occurring Saturday night.

Yes it would, Donald. Yes it would.

Isn’t time to move on from the clickbait that is “If Donald Trump did this…” Hardly an innovative way to write a successful article.
