You’re supposed to support the candidate who beat you fair and square. What a cry baby. Didn’t get his way so he won’t endorse him. Even if you don’t like the candidate that won the nomination; you stick by your party and its leader. Period.
This party used to stand for small government. I have the elephant in my profile because of the Coolidge Era, not because of the steaming pile of big government, law-happy, trade-regulating, habeas corpus-ignoring monstrosity the party has become. I’m not a big Cruz fan. I think a less than ideal voting record on spending and some liberty issues is concerning. But he’s a far superior candidate or man than Donald and suggesting that it is in-line with party values to blindly follow against one’s firmly rooted beliefs is absurd.
Seriously, the guy had the balls to say “this is still the party of conservativism” and suddenly everyone hates him. People are calling Bernie a pussy for endorsing Hillary even though she is contrary to just about everything he stands for, and Cruz is an asshole for standing up for his principles and family?
I’m not his biggest fan, but I actually respect him more after what he said at the RNC. His face is still nightmarish, but he defended his family and beliefs.
