Idiot Breaks Into House, Gets Drunk, Then Passes Out On Couch
Breaking into a house is pretty dumb. Breaking into a house, getting drunk, and then passing out is even dumber. Stupid as it may seem, that’s exactly what one man in England did.
32-year-old Dawid Grzelewski broke into a home while the owner was at work. The owner, Paul Hatton, got a notification, presumably via a home security app on his phone, that his house’s burglar alarm had gone off. Wanting to investigate and ensure that everything was okay, Hatton left work and went home.
When he arrived, he found the intruder passed out on his couch. He took several pictures of the criminal and then promptly kicked him out of his home before calling the police. The authorities arrived shortly thereafter and found Grzelewski in some nearby bushes with a bag of drugs, later identified as amphetamines, in his mouth.
At some point while in Hatton’s home, the crook downed a large quantity of rum, which ended up making him so sleepy that he decided to crush a nap right then and there in the home he’d just broken into. Not the smartest play in the book, if you ask me.
Fortunately, justice was served. Unfortunately for the perpetrator, his future isn’t looking great. Following a little over a year in prison, he will be extradited from the UK and sent back to his native Poland. It just goes to show you that it doesn’t pay to be a criminal. It especially doesn’t pay if you’re a dumb criminal..
