Connecticut Youth Football Coach Rightfully Fired For Punishing Team Bully

An intolerant Connecticut youth football coach has rightfully been fired after punishing one of his players with laps around the practice field for bullying a teammate. The narrow-minded Todd Kennedy was removed from his voluntary role by the board of the Durham Middlefield Falcons for his anti-bully sentiment and open persecution of the bully’s life choices.

The kid that was targeted by this bigot reportedly ran his laps without a single complaint, but thankfully someone spoke up on his behalf and coach Kennedy was unanimously dismissed from his unpaid position.

From NY Daily News:

Kennedy removed his two children from the team, and Shannon Riso took her son off the Falcons as well, she said.

“Bullying is OK, that’s the message that I got,” Riso told the TV station. “And that’s why my son is not going to play for them because I want him to be around better role models than that.”

Wow. Just when you think about how far we’ve come as a society, something like this happens and really makes you think. It’s 2016, yet there’s people out there that actually still have such a backwards mentality.

So a child chooses to be a little different. What’s so wrong with that, Shannon?

We’re just going to tell little Johnny he can’t be the special snowflake that he wants to be and stuff some nerd’s head into a toilet or make fun of an acquaintance whose parents are in the midst of a very public and nasty divorce?

Get with the times, lady. If the kid wants to identify as a bully, who are we to tell him otherwise? Glad the board for the Durham Middlefield Falcons acted swiftly and properly handled this problematic situation.

I meant New England as in the region not the Patriots. My highschool in New Hampshire didn’t even have a football team.

Bullying causes depression at that age. At least that’s what that commercial with the slightly heavy tween has been telling me all fucking football season.

And there goes the last group of people actually able to discipline children. Parents and teachers can’t lay a hand on kids anymore, but at least football coaches could make them run until they puke
