Texas State University Police Investigating Pro-Trump Vigilante Squads Threatening University Leaders

In the wake of last night’s decision, it has been an undeniably weird day in America. At Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, things have been particularly weird.

vigilantes

Today, the above flier was posted around campus by alleged Trump supporters, and Texas State University Police are looking into the matter.

The flier reads in full:

“Now that our man Trump is elected and Republicans own both the Senate and the House — time to organize tar & feather vigilante squads and go arrest and torture those deviant university leaders spouting off all this diversity garbage.”

Organize tar and feather vigilante squads? Arrest and torture deviant university leaders spouting off diversity garbage? Maybe pump the brakes, fellas. It’s over. Trump won. No need to go around using insane techniques from feudal Europe to cause more unnecessary drama. Sad!

Wednesday evening, university President Denise Trauth shared a letter with students regarding the election:

“We know that those who are a part of our university community have different opinions and that, in this time of transition in our national leadership, members of our community are expressing their thoughts and concerns. Discourse is fundamental to the academic enterprise, and this university strives to protect it. As Bobcats our aim should be to better understand that which causes divisions among us and to work toward strengthening our bond as a university community.”

Shit is heated. Stay woke out there, Bobcats.

Look, you can look at my comments on here and know that I was as anti trump as it gets, but he won the election and is this country’s next president. These people blocking intersections and saying its the end of the world are helping no one. Every election half the country loses, thats just how it goes, but at the end of the day we all want to see this country succeed and to pretend otherwise is a detriment to ourselves as much as those we’ve disagreed with.

I would encourage those people to read his plan for the first 100 days. It’s pretty solid.

Its solid to you and I because we have a plethora of logic and are somewhat.. somewhat not stupid. They would look at it and have been so eluted of logic from liberal media and are conditioned to believe that the EPA deserves more power and there should be more regulations. They are also conditioned to think that everything Trump does is terrible

Call me a privileged white male…but I have a strong feeling that this was a joke intended to do exactly what the school, students and the media have just done, react mildly to absurdly.

These people need to accept the outcome already. Texas State is pretty diverse so naturally everyone is going crazy but can you blame them? Trump has said some pretty nasty stuff about certain groups of people. Someone really needs to tell them though safe spaces and rioting isn’t going to solve anything.

It seems like every time something like this happens, it ends up being some crazy liberal student activist behind the whole thing. How fucking cliché is the ‘tar and feather’ line? But of course, if they get caught, the university will issue an apology and say the student in question was just trying to make a point…

Nice change of pace to have the right producing the insane knee jerk political reactions for once.

I’m not typically a conspiracy theorist but this seems like something some shitty liberal arts major would make up. It just seems like something they would do because they were all salty because they lost in an attempt to prove their point that all Trump supporters are crazy or racist of something.

Didn’t mean to lap you – you made an excellent point. This reeks of being a hoax.

Completely agree! And we’ll see a lot more of this going forward…including some faked attacks.

It is sad that TFM was against Trump the entire election and now they are spreading Hoaxes against Trump. Hey Bolen, why don’t you write about the communist college students in Austin who are rioting. What happened to your liberal tolerance?
