Knicks Surprise Disabled Army Veteran With Service Doggo Who’s A Very Good Boy, Yes He Is

knicks surprise

There’s been a lot of negative crying going on this week with the presidential election results in, but it’s finally time for a good, soul-filled, positive cry. I’m talking a feel-good, snot bubble-ridden, can’t-help-yourself, watching the end (and beginning, really) of Up type of cry. Seriously, if this army veteran getting surprised with a service dog doesn’t hit you straight in the feels, then you’re not even a real person, you Westworld host.

On Wednesday, the New York Knicks honored United States Army Sergeant First Class Luciano Yulfo for his 36 years of service to the US of A. Yulfo was seriously injured on a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2014 and had been on the service dog wait list for 18 long months. But during a timeout at the Knicks-Brooklyn Nets game, the team’s “Hoops for Troops” program sponsored by Budweiser (which makes you wanna shout “Merica!” even louder) hooked Yulfo up in an emotional moment. Stop chopping those onions!

*sniffle* Who’s a good boyyyyyyyy?! Who’s a good boy?!?! You are. Yes you are! *sniffle*

What an emotional rollercoaster. I like that they totally punk’d him with a personalized Knicks jersey at first, which anyone receiving it would be like, “Meh, I guess that’s kinda cool or something,” and then they went BAM — here’s a goddamn doggo!

Good job, Knicks. You just got a bunch of students to tear up in the back of lecture halls across the country and united a good doggo with an amazing veteran. Now, try and actually win a game while I dry my tears.

Not if you don’t make it. Simple mistake. The b and g keys are right next to each other.

This is bullshit. There is no good cry moment at the beginning of “Up.” When they couldn’t have a baby? Ugh. Awful. I need to have a talk with my editors.
