500 Lb. Black Marlin Pulls Kayaker Out To Sea At A Thousand Knots

I clocked it. It was being pulled at a thousand knots. Don’t come at me with your maritime/nautical/whatever you call it knowledge to correct me and try to impress your peers. You had to Google it anyway.

While fishing at the Los Buzos Fishing Lodge in Panama I hooked this massive black marlin. At the time I was fishing for rooster fish and was very unprepared for this marlin. It was unaware that it had been hooked until about two minutes into the fight. Then it takes off and jumps 7 times before breaking the line. It pulled me much faster than I have ever gone in that kayak.

What an impressive fish.

That kayak was MOVING. Not much gets me as hype as a badass animal out in nature doing its damn thing. It could be a moose running down snowboarders and clobbering their brains out, a mountain lion dragging deer carcasses off front porches, or 500-lb. black marlins pulling kayakers out to sea to assumedly murder him in cold blood. I just love that shit..
