Mizzou AEPi’s Rock-A-Thon Philanthropy Aims To Break Its Own Record Of $132K+ Raised For Cancer Research
In 2015, Mizzou AEPi’s bi-annual Rock-A-Thon raised over $132,000 for cancer research. Yeah, just a cool $132K, the largest single-chapter Greek philanthropy of all time in the nation, for rocking back and forth in a rocking chair. No biggie. What has your ass done lately? Never thought you could use your incredible hangover superpowers of sitting on the couch all damn day to raise a ridiculous amount of money for a good cause, did you?
Well, AEPi is at it again this year, rocking their way toward another record-setting philanthropy. While rocking back and forth for hours on end in an old wooden chair sounds like something more suited for an angry Alabama father, shotgun and whiskey at his side, listening to “Wagon Wheel” on loop waiting for his daughter to come back from a date with her cousin, the good men of AEPi are using it to raise money to fund cancer research. And this year it is no cake walk.
Realllllllllly bad weekend. I assume they’ll pack up their belongings, go home, get drunk and say “hey, maybe next year.”
Wait, you’re telling me they’re playing through the pain? They’re straight beastmoding, collecting donation ‘n’ shit in the pouring rain?
That’s dedication right there. That’s also pledgeship.
AEPi’s Rock-A-Thon is legit one of the coolest things in all of Greek Life. They’ve already raised $25,000 this year and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
J’den Cox is a badass, and he’ll fight anyone who doesn’t donate, so keep that in mind.
If you’re pro-cancer, hate puppies and/or prefer a good dorm room party then politely go fuck yourself. But if you hate cancer, enjoy romantic walks on the beach and want to make the world a better place the donate to the AEPi Rock-A-Thon. Godspeed, boys.
