I’m Legitimately Worried Golfers’ Arms Will Rip Clean Off During The U.S. Open

It’s not officially U.S. Open Week until a Tour pro takes to social media to complain about green speeds or makes a video tossing his ball into the rough. Last year, Justin Thomas was our ribbon cutter at Oakmont, and now the torch has been firmly passed to Kevin Na to light the opening ceremony flame for Erin Hills.

Keen observation, David. Na (like most competing this weekend) is not exactly the most physically imposing dude walking around Wisconsin. I mean that fescue didn’t give an inch. To these beanpoles, this tall stuff might as well be a brick wall. Someone’s going to try their darndest to get out, swing as hard as humanly possible, and, at the very least, dislocate both shoulders in the process. No doubt Na has to be the odds on favorite for this unfortunate fate. Maybe get on that Rory gym grind, my man.

That said, I can’t wait for another crowd-pleasing U.S. Open with guys trying to get up and down to save bogey or lag putting their way to victory. Nothing grows the game quite like course management and defensive golf.

I quit working at shoprite and now I make $35h – $80h…how? I’m working online! My work didn’t exactly make me happy so I decided to take a chance on something new…after 4 years it was so hard to quit my day job but now I couldn’t be happier.

*Lame and somewhat cruel joke about Dan’s arms being anchored to his torso by his enormous manboobs.*

I’d be more concerned with the wrists. I’ve had surgery to shave frayed ends of my torn TFCC (trans-fibroidal cartilage complex) and know it aches when I swing through (and get caught by) the tall stuff.

It’s target golf out there. The course will favor those who hit their lines and save strokes around the greens. I predict that the longest hitter who keeps it in the fairway the most will win (the golf course is right at 7,800 yards). DJ, The Big Swede, Koepka, Matsuyama, Lowry, Day, or McIlroy
