The Falcons’ New Stadium Features A Chick-Fil-A… But It Won’t Be Open On Football Sundays

Well, this is certainly one of the more perplexing partnership deals in recent history.
The Atlanta Falcons recently tore the cover off the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a $1.2 billion project that’s looking pretty badass. With that came news that the stadium indeed does feature at least one Chick-fil-A, an Atlanta-based business.
“Fuck yes! Football and Chick-fil-A?!” *orgasm everywhere* is likely the range of emotions you’re going through right now. But pump those brakes, kid. Chick-Fil-A isn’t relaxing its policy of being closed on Sundays just for the Falcons.
Yep. There it is. Just gawking at you. Just sitting there, all closed and shit, laughing at how much you want the forbidden fruit but you can’t get it. Look at that smug menu design. Fuck you!
The news of a Chick-fil-A coming to the stadium was first revealed in November, and it was just as odd then as it is now. Since seven of the Falcons’ eight home games are on Sundays this year, the restaurant will be virtually useless to NFL fans. Sure, the stadium will hold other events like concerts and lower-level football games, but I’d rather take the chance of protesting Roger Goodell to change all Falcons home games to Fridays or Mondays if I really wanted this particular Chick-fil-A’s harvest. It’s not like he has anything better to do.
It might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m gonna go ahead and say it: Zaxby’s and college football is a better combo than Chick-fil-A and the NFL. Don’t @ me..

8 years ago at 6:52 amDo I often wish they were open on Sundays, be it because my hungover slef wants food, or even my sober self? Yes I do. Do I want to stick a tire iron down your throat for saying what you have said? Also yes.
