PornHub Bans Face Swap Porn, Also Face Swap Porn Is A Thing

Now I don’t want to brag, but I’m about to break my personal record for most consecutive Valentine’s Days spent single. Don’t worry, I’ll have plenty of company thanks to PornHub.

Lucky for us, product quality is always a main concern for the customer service experts at PornHub. PornHub also strives for authenticity. That’s why they recently announced that they will be banning AI-generated, also known as “Deep Fake,” porn.

Pornhub has informed Motherboard that it will ban videos that use machine learning to superimpose faces on porn actors. The company forbids “any nonconsensual content,” and this certainly qualifies — more often than not, the face’s owner didn’t give permission.

For those who haven’t been keeping up with the latest technological advances in the adult film industry, these videos are where CGI is used to put a celebrity’s face on someone else’s body in a porno. Sounds like a face swap straight out of Snapchat, but creepier (somehow).

Look, robots are clearly taking over. As if that wasn’t bad enough, we also got artificial intelligence passing college classes better than a fifth year senior.

Welcome to 2017, where we have infinite technology at our hands. We used to use technology to invent new things or cure diseases. Now we use it to find new ways to jerk off. What a time to be alive.
