Racist Snapchat Gets All WVU Fraternities Suspended

Some schools get their Greek Life suspended for hazing, while others get their Greek Life suspended for hospital trips. West Virginia University pulled a new one out of the hat, by getting the entire school’s fraternity operations suspended for…a Snapchat.

Last week, a Theta Chi brother published a Snapchat video on social media using a racial slur directed at a bartender in a downtown Morgantown club. He has since been kicked out of the Alpha Kappa chapter of Theta Chi.

This bright young WVU student decided to post a Snap story in which he repeatedly called the bartender a n*****, laughing about it with his pal. I get it, dude, you’re a racist idiot, but maybe the rest of the world doesn’t need to know that. If you were trying to give that sorority girl from Alabama a run for her money, mission accomplished.

There’s good news and bad news for WVU. The good news: The school is reviewing the situation and Greek activity will likely be reinstated soon enough. The bad news: They’re trying to raise the minimum GPA requirements from a 2.5 to a 3.0, meaning none of you will be eligible for Greek life anyway.

      While it’s not ok now and objectively immoral, you can’t say it was never cool. It was quite hip to prefer one race over another back in the day. In said time period it would have been quite NF to suggest races were equal. You’d have been considered a liberal tryhard NF pussy creep fuck.

    So now the school sees the actions of an individual as reflective of a whole community… Isn’t that the type of ignorance they’re supposed to be fighting against? Or is that only when there’s bad publicity
