Loyola-Chicago Cuts Hannibal Buress’ Mic Five Minutes Into Show After Joke About Priests Diddling Kids

While most of the attention surrounding Loyola-Chicago is on the basketball team’s improbable run to the Sweet 16, a not-so-sweet event occurred over the weekend when the school shut down Hannibal Buress’ set five minutes in after the comedian joked about Catholic priests molesting kids.

The event was held Saturday night and Buress, known to not be the tamest of comedians, decided to put the school on blast for sending him a list of expectations for his show that involved avoiding cursing or topics including sexual assault. Buress projected the email behind him, and it all went downhill from there.

Let the boys play, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt!

That’s pretty terribly handled by the Ramblers. It’s like inviting a lion to your school and then saying “well, I didn’t know the lion was going to eat MY face.” Lions only know how to lion. If you give Hannibal the opportunity, he will comedically eat your face clean off.

Buress, if you remember, was oddly a major driving force behind shedding light on Bill Cosby’s lengthy sexual misconduct history.

I guess, really, the lesson here is if you don’t want to be made fun of for diddling little kids then you shouldn’t diddle little kids. Or you shouldn’t invite comedians to your school who will undoubtedly call you out in front of everyone for diddling kids. Yeah, that’s it.

Kinda ironic that Buress hosts a podcast called “the handsome rambler”

Sure it was stupid of them to impose those restrictions in the first place, but he did receive prior notice and all the school did was invoke “can’t place by our rules then you can’t play” so it’s likely he knew this would happen and was hoping for some viral marketing like this. Who hops into priests/kids less than 5 min into his set? You gotta have some foreplay if you expect them to put up with that kind of rough fucking.
