Kirkland Light May Have Found Its New Spokesperson In This Drunk Version Of The Kool-Aid Man
I’ve enjoyed plenty of cheap, shitty beer in my day, from tall boys of the metallic-tasting Icehouse to thirty racks of the straightforwardly marketed Pong.
Yet, despite my extensive samplings of the wide variety of canned alcoholic piss water offered in the great US of A, I can’t say (to my recollection) that I’ve ever cracked open and enjoyed a Kirkland Signature Light.
I have to hand it to them, though. In this self-made commercial for the exclusively Costco sold beer, California native Randy makes quite the enticing sales pitch.
From Daily Mail:
Randy Colpek loves Kirkland Signature Light so much that he decided to film his own hilarious commercial for the beer in his backyard.
The now-viral ‘ad’ shows Randy breaking through a wall of empty beer cases in many, many outtakes.

Luckily for him, his friends were there to help him with the ad’s production and to build the wall of beer boxes for every outtake.
Colpek filmed the video last summer but it recently went viral after he posted it on Reddit on Wednesday, claiming he drinks around 18 cans of the beer every day.
Randy’s sometimes pretty forced drunk acting aside, this drunken Kool-Aid Man is a gold mine of classic taglines. He especially got me with this one: “Life is like beer: You drink it in and piss it out.” So true, Randy. So true. Brandy just doesn’t understand you.
I didn’t even know Costco was still around, but I’m kind of tempted to get a membership now just so I can pick up a $22 48-pack. And maybe also a nice pair of slacks..
