How About This Maniac Allegedly Shooting A Guy For Blocking His Car Near University Of Michigan Campus?

I don’t know what it is about us as a society, but whenever we get behind the wheel of a car, we lose our goddamn minds. Horns get honked, expletives are said, and at the drop of a hat every last one of us can transform into Tommy Fucking Tough Guy.

An example of this Hulk-like transformation occured recently near the campus of the University of Michigan, where one student decided to take a blocked car extra personally. When a delivery driver wouldn’t let his car out, the 24-year-old male suspect decided to do the rational thing: He pulled out a gun and shot the asshole.

According to police, the shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of State St. and University Ave. which is on the border of the UM campus.

Two men were having an argument when the 24-year-old man from Ann Arbor pulled out a gun and opened fire on the 43-year-old man.

The sister of the man who was shot declined to go on camera, but says her brother is a delivery driver. She says that he was unloading things from his truck Monday night outside of a Walgreens when a man argued with him about a car being blocked.

This is a tough one. Shooting someone is definitely messed up BUT I’ve also had my car blocked in before. So while I cannot condone the actions, I certainly understand them. Delivery drivers have no regard for proper parking etiquette. They just set up shop wherever they damn well please and expect everyone else to accommodate them.

I don’t think you’re losing that much time to take two seconds and let me out, Carl. Your delivery of Crest Whitestrips can wait. The only exception would be if this was a beer truck. That would change everything. Beer always takes precedence.

Obviously, shooting anyone for any reason, outside of your life being in immediate danger, is not okay, so don’t do it. But also, don’t block anyone’s car in, because while it may be on a much, much, lesser degree, it is still a dick move.

Who brings a gun to a Walgreens anyway? Was this guy worried that some meth head was going to run up on him and try to snatch his Sudafed or some shit? Thankfully, the victim is expected to make a full recovery, and we can all have an open dialog about shooting others and blocking spaces.

Just be cool to each other, be considerate human beings, and we can all get along.

    I’ve been thinking a lot lately about WHY people have kids. Between thinking about that, seeing that movie about Thanos’s novel idea for resource management, and see what has become of the comment section I’m starting to think that if (our culture’s current paradigm and visualization of reproduction) is not immoral, it’s at least somewhat selfish and conceited.

    I mean if you need companionship and a child dynamic in your home, you can adopt. There are kids that need parents and obviously people who want kids. What? Are you genes SO GREAT that you have to have home brew kiddos?

    Someone at church said that God put the desire for kids in us. The subject changed before I could point out that I have the desire to fuck tons of females and hit people who make me mad yet we aren’t supposed to do those things. Surely parenthood is a calling for some but seems to have become an expectation or assumption for most.

    Any thoughts?

        I couldn’t win. I’m too straightforward and don’t pander. Also I’m asking more than telling. I want someone to prove me wrong so I don’t have to feel like I’ve figured out something that could help many people and not ruin so many people’s lives.
