Book Your Formal At Disney World Because You Can Now Booze All Around Magic Kingdom

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’ll always love Disney World no matter how old I am. Where else can I play nine holes of golf, hit on MILFs at the hotel pool, and watch fireworks all in the same day? Sure, Vegas, but they don’t have the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Sin City.

The only downside to the Happiest Place on Earth is that booze has always been hard to come by; the only place in this fantasyland where my drinking habit was encouraged was while drinking around the world at Epcot. Well fear not, fellow mouse-ear-wearing alcoholics — that’s about to change.

Disney World’s Magic Kingdom restaurants were all dry until 2012, when Be Our Guest restaurant opened with alcohol on the menu. In just six years, the rest of the park’s restaurants have caught up with public demand — the park’s final booze-free restaurants will begin serving drinks to anyone 21 years and up.

Waited three hours for Space Mountain? Celebrate with a Bud Light! Heard “Let It Go” from Frozen for the millionth time? Drown your sorrows with a wine of your choosing! It’s like Bourbon Street with more cartoon characters and overpriced gift shops, and also you almost certainly won’t be able to bring your drink outside the restaurants. Regardless of that last part, this is still game-changing. Fraternity formals are surely incoming.
