Frattin hard, Southern Proper copied VV almost perfectly. Also northerners invented, and wear, brooks brothers with is 192 years of tradition. Southern Proper has…5 years of tradition…
How is a tradition only five years old? Could you explain that to me?
And personally, arguing about what brand of clothing is frat is NF. It doesn’t matter what the brand is, as long as you look damn good in it.
Unless I’m mistaken, that looks like a Norfolk suit. They were popularized after Edward VII, Prince of Wales, was seen hunting in them. If that’s the case, the low pocket actually serves a purpose; from what I can tell, the plaid lines up so it’s not quite as conspicuous as an actual cargo pocket. However, these are full pants, not breeches or “knickerbockers,” which are traditionally worn with the Norfolk jacket. If this is genuinely a hunting outfit, it’s FAF. If it’s just a flannel plaid suit with a side pocket, NF.
Ill wear jeans to go hunting thanks. These things look digusting reguardless of what you say. Besides I don’t want to be caught dressed like some European anyway. This is America Damnit.
Oh I agree. I wear Mossy Oak when I hunt. But considering this kind of outfit was originally tailored for British fox hunting and the sort, I still think it’s pretty cool. Definitely a far cry from a cargo pocket, which is why it’s still FAF.
@SigBro I’ve done my research.
@blueblood Since the pocket is so flush to the leg and the plaid is so well blended, I wouldn’t consider it a cargo pocket. I’d consider anyone who could pull off a Norfolk, especially in 2010, regardless of continent, FAF.
The British = NF
America beating the British with stolen muskets and pitchforks, while going on later to only wearing cargos while blowing up other countries = FaF
@Cincinfrati Reds
And to what Fratmaster said, we kind of started it, so you might want to do a little research before posting comments that make you look stupid.
no offense to your state…since it is 1/50th part of the best fucking country in the world..but the one person i’ve even met from Michigan described it basically as a clip from Jersey Shore…she came to tailgate with us and asked why everyone was dressed so nice and had their shirts tucked in…….
John Quincy Fratams, man up. I’m from the mitten and as much as it’s hell sometimes, it’s home. If you don’t like it, leave. You are the kind of person that we can do without while we try to rebuild this state.
Frat or Die, you have my full respect.
Whoa, easy everyone, I guess I should have been more clear. I hate Michigan in terms of the lack of “frattiness” and the amazing amount of GDI’s. Of course I’m proud of where I’m from, I love a lot of things about Michigan. Although I do plan to go somewhere in the SEC for law school and make the south my future home.
This cannot be serious.
14 years ago at 5:42 pmworst thing since so-pro
14 years ago at 6:01 pmin what way is southern proper bad?
14 years ago at 6:02 pmno social probation southern proper is FAF
14 years ago at 9:51 pmDarren McFratten, fuck off. You obviously have no sense of frattire and probably wear Northern geed Vineyard Vines (another supplier of cargos)

14 years ago at 8:01 pmDid anyone else read this comment in their head in a British accent?
14 years ago at 8:40 pmDixie Sig, since when did cargo anything become FaF?

14 years ago at 7:59 am@Cincinfrati Reds
14 years ago at 10:20 amYou do realize the Boston Massacre wasn’t actually a massacre, right? Only like five people died.

@ Wildfrat- Yes. Makes me think of Sherlock Brolmes.
14 years ago at 9:41 pmSometimes I really hate being from Michigan. And by sometimes, I mean pretty much all the time. This is terrible.
14 years ago at 9:43 pmI don’t care if you’re from North Dakota. Having pride for where you were raised is FaF
