Chipper Jones' response to critics who said he only came back for the money. "If they think I'm doing this for the money, they obviously haven't seen my bank account." TFM.
Carson Palmer on playing for the Bengals: “I have $80 million in the bank. I don’t have to play football for money. I’ll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere. I’m prepared to live my life.”
Actually, that is correct grammar, toots. His last name is Jones. Therefore, the apostrophe comes after the s, with nothing after. You would only say “Jones’s” if there were multiple Jones. Get back in the kitchen and out of the men’s (mens’s????) conversation. Nobody likes a girl that talks back.
Sewanee, not like it matters, but…sweetandsratty is correct. Since you are talking about a singular person in a possessory sense, it is Jones’s. Actually, it is acceptable to say Jones’ but you’re usually supposed to add the ‘s at the end of names or nouns that end in s these days when using an apostrophe to signify possession. If you were talking about multiple Jones, then it would be the Joneses’.
This is my favorite TFM ever.
