It’s not even about being charitable. It’s about being aware that other people don’t have all the things we take for granted. Just because you wouldn’t last an hour without 300 dollar shoes on because your fair un-worked skin might callus doesn’t mean you’re above those who are willing to see what it’s like to live without for one day.
