Thats because it no longer exists. In 1987 it became NSWDG. If you check the offical unit list for the Navy you will see No Seal Team 6 listed. It list 1-5 and 7,8,10.
As Mason Dixon said, it’s not secret at all. It just changed names to DevGru, and is publicly acknowledged on their website. They work out of a base in Virginia. Everyone knows where it is. Not a big secret at all. The missions they go on may at times be closely guarded, but other than the targets and locations the actual stuff they do isn’t that unusual. SFG(D) is a little more elusive, but also publicly acknowledged, etc. There’s no reason to keep the existence of such teams secret. You want kids striving to join them and enemies looking over their shoulder in the dark.
Frataholic is right, I’m originally from just outside Virginia Beach. Most SEAL teams(on the east coast) are based out of littlecreek but ST6 or Devrgu is out of damneck. They are secretive people, but the organization itself is well known. I used to go to the beach there during the summer to get away from all the tourists. Also, that helicopter is pretty fucking awesome considering we “never finished” the commanche. If you want a real secretive unit, google the CIA’s special activities division.
