I know this will spark some gdi comments, but there is nothing wrong with a summer job. A lot of greeks have jobs. Probably more than half. Learning the value of a dollar goes a long way. That being said, summer houses are still FaF.

As nice as it is when we’re handed money, learning the value of a dollar does indeed go a long way… well put.

Does a job really have to be frat. Not everything in this world is frat and not frat. Last time I checked, the only thing not frat is not being in a fraternity.

couldn’t agree more. if you have a summer house to go to that’s great, but there’s nothing wrong with an internship or even a job over the summer. Some people have to be the ones to make something of their name, not merely to proliferate the reputation it already has.

I agree with Nu_d. I don’t care how much money you have, learning how to work for yourself is key. Summer houses on the lake are FaF though.

Summer houses are for long weekends so you can earn/learn the value of a dollar, Every fratstar should have a job/intership at least monday thru thursday. If not then your really nothing more than some gdi bum with pop’s money doing nothing but hanging out at the jersey shore all summer, and for that my friend you should leave your respectable fraternity watch a champs commercial, buy everything you see in it and go kill yourself for disgracing your family name.

I’m working at a law firm now and starting law school in the fall. Last summer I interned at a company in their finance department. However, I have worked my ass off outside at shit jobs for many summers before that and highly believe it is the reason I drive to be successful today. If you don’t know how to do hard work, you won’t be shit. I was in a fraternity, acted and dressed as all of you speak of, and will still bust my ass doing hard outside work when it is needed. Don’t be a pussy.

      More like pathetic.
Unless your dad is a consultant or a banker, chances are you could have found better.

Unpaid internships suck, that’s a fact.

That being said, you should look into how much investment banking interns get paid for their ten week stints before saying ALL summer internships suck.

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that this used up a lot of your creativity didn’t it?

How I know you’re lying: 1) weekends don’t exist in banking. 2) why would you capitalize investment banking?
