My Grandfather's golf course recently started allowing women onto the grounds, but only in the gift shop and only during December, so they could buy their husbands gifts. TFM.
I believe he was meant the fact that women could be members and such. It’s probably a lodge type country club. But as someone studying for their LSAT currently I applaud your analyzing of this post.
It’s a pro shop. And this is the long time story of Burning Tree where they only allow women on the ground on Christmas Eve, to buy their husbands Christmas presents. And they wouldn’t allow a female secret service agent on the grounds when JFK played there in the 60s.
Let me know how that “gift shop” works out for you.
Burning Tree has a better story than that. A small airplane made an emergency landing on the par 5 16th. The occupants had women among them. The club members escorted the women off the grounds and took the men into the clubhouse to celebrate such a sick landing. case and point: Burning Tree TFM
FINALLY, someone got the Burning Tree story public. Honest enough to say that I am not a member, but that my best friend’s dad is a member, I have total respect for the place. However, the women who landed in the emergency, they were escorted off the course for other reasons besides the “sick landing.” Women are allowed into the pro shop only on Dec. 23rd each year, to purchase their husband’s fresh Burning Tree gear for Christmas. Burning Tree TFM.
Props to all the other all-male clubs still holding out
You mean where your grandfather is a member…not that outstanding.
14 years ago at 1:53 pmSo the course would have “cart boys” instead of cute girls?

14 years ago at 12:46 amI’ll bet JFK had a female secret service agent so he could be secretly serviced.
