You’re absolutely right; I bet it’s more likely that every surviving member of a 72-year-old pledge class just so happened to spend their twilight years in the same state. And if not, they definitely take their Gulfstreams to eat lunch at some diner in the South. How could I be so silly?
On another note, no one is keeping you here EgotisticalWASP. Why some may not at first realize your name is merely sarcasm masking your GDI agenda, your unwelcoming comments (such as those you’ve made in Discussion threads) and general antagonism toward the greek community will not go unnoticed. You can either leave now or your own accord and revel in your cynicism , or you will eventually be deleted, that I can assure you.
I’m thinking that if they’re all 90 years old, there are probably only a few left, thus making it much more likely that they all live near each other. Moron.
So…you don’t have pledge brothers then? Because “pledge brothers” means they are your brothers that you pledged alongside. (The key words there being “pledged,” and “alongside.”)
I’m sure the SigEps have fellow “pledges” they write their essays on “brotherhood” with. and people they have study sessions with. Sounds like a music fraternity.
I’m a SigEp and I have pledge brothers. You’re right I have studied and written essays with them. But, I have also gone through a 9 month pledge process (longest on campus), hell week, and plenty of hazing with them. The way Balanced Man is interpreted and implemented varies between every chapter. Yes there are chapters that take it to the extreme. However, most chapters use it as an outline of the way a fraternity man should live his life and still haze balls (have a pledge process, etc etc).
Being a “balanced man” is excelling in all facets of life. That means academically, athletically, and socially. Being fit, having good grades, partying hard, and still being a gentleman is FaF.
Yes I have pledge brothers and those who made it were initiated together. We are balanced man too. Everything I went through as a balanced man “new member”(pledge) had a purpose. Some more fun than others. All other fraternities can do what they want. SigEp will keep equally succeeding with our methods. And Slick is right, it varies school to school.
I’m the VP of Recruitment and I can guarantee you that we do not “blanket bid.” In fact, my chapter is one of the top 4 on campus out of 25 and is very well respected.
… so none of them left the state? That’s cool.
14 years ago at 10:39 amOr maybe they just retired in the same state? Or fly on a private jet to the same place for lunch? Asshole.
