You can always count on guys in SEC and east coast fraternities to bag on guys who have muscles. This is due to a majority of you guys being fat, old-money, legacies who have no other reputable qualities other than having money.

Here’s a thought: play sports, get strong, and get laid. It gets better results when you don’t have to use your monetary status to do it.

Its funny because old money doesn’t exist in the South. Those who claim to be old money “planters” aren’t. All planter wealth was lost at the end of the civil war, so your “old money” is at the most 140 years old. Unless you are a descendant of John Jacob Astor, you are not old money in the United States.

scbro91: Old money, by definition, is wealth that is passed down through multiple generations. This would include my great grand father leaving money to his son, who left it to his daughter, who set up my trust fund using some of the money, and I will do the same for my kids one day. I don’t see where you decided that money had to be pre civil war or even made in the US to be old money. With all that being said, it would seem you were wrong, as I live in Georgia. Enjoy your PhD and teaching position (what the fuck else would you do with a PhD in history.) I’ll enjoy my lavish lifestyle, fraternity brothers, and old money. Side note, odds are you’re full of shit, why else would you put 91 in your name if it wasn’t your birth year.

      Accidentally hit “done”

My guess would be you just finished history 1 and thought you could read off bullshit written by some other guy and claim it as your own. Hint, it’s been done, and will hunting called the last guy on it too.

4 Generations is hardly old money. If you are wondering I want to be head archivist at the largest law firm in SC which my grandfather is currently a partner in. No, I won’t have jets, a mansion, or anything like that but I do not need those things to make me happy. I have friends and I enjoy what I do. I feel sorry for you that your “lavish lifestyle” is what is going to make you happy, shame.

Take your pretend old money elsewhere. This site is for true frat stars.

SCbro, first of all thank you for your service. But I have to disagree with your definition of “old money.” The idea that a family must have had money before the Civil War to be considered old money is preposterous. I would tend to consider the descendants of Vanderbilt, Carnegie, and Rockefeller (the first American Millionaires) old money an all three families made their fortunes after the war. I mean would you consider the Kennedys, who struck it rich as bootleggers during prohibition, new money? I would tend to argue that those who would be considered “old money” under your definition were likely loyalist during the revolution or corrupt party bosses, the latter being FaF while the first is absolutely NF.

Im sorry I have better things to do than sit up all night and wait for more comments. I have two things left to say
      1. Uncle Billy has a three story trailer.
      2. Grandma was the daughter of a rancher in Texas, and they hate the oil money out there because it was new money.

Also I don’t think you and I are reading the same website. This website, in its entirety, is built off of an inferiority complex. Almost everything on this site is a lie and most of the posters are liars, myself included. Why do I do this? Because I like to get a rise out of people, its pretty fucking funny.

If everything on this site was true then the GDP of Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi would constitute the the majority of the American GDP and the endowment for the University of Alabama would be several trillion dollars. But it isn’t, the South is poor, just now beginning to recover from their decision to be an agrarian society.

Old money is anything older than one generation. New money is money made after 1980.

scbro i have to say your defenition of old money is not very well thought out. old money is considered as money thats passed down from generation to generation. so really the grand fortune my grandfather made investing in railroads after the civil war is considered to me as old money. there’s old money everywhere. and i hope you realize that people can move, and that older people like warmer weather so its not absurd to think that maybe some old money moved down south

First of all, you are dumbshits. This post came from Texas, last time I checked the SEC didn’t include any teams from Texas. The fact that I am the first southerner to comment on this proves how insecure you squares are. Sorry we can “get laid” without acting like has-been high school athletes. Glad you know so much about about our financial situations as well. Back to your protein shakes douchebags, we’ll continue to play the greens and watch our schools real sports shit on y’alls. Yes, y’alls.

From my observations, kids who work out all the time and take all those muscle supplements generally aren’t very coordinated or athletic. They just have big muscles. My brothers and I all go to the gym once or twice a week to lift weights and run, but we don’t drink any of that protein trash. We just go (and eat decently) to stay strong and healthy. We don’t have big muscles or ripped six-packs but I guarantee you we can lift more weight than geeds in the lifts that matter (squats, bench, dead-lifts; as opposed to showing off how many curls we can do) and can run faster and jump higher. We all know the teams in intramural sports that have a bunch of jacked guidos who look strong but can’t shoot, throw (especially this; guidos throw like damn girls), run, catch, bat, or jump worth shit.

So geeds, my question to you is this. Who is going to look better when they’re 45? Y’all with your stretch marks from working too hard on the creatine pills and then suddenly losing your muscle mass at 35? Not to mention while wearing shitty clothes and cargo shorts. Or those of us who have kept our bodies naturally healthy while raging so we can still play 18 holes with our pledge brothers or backyard football with our sons? And don’t forget our financial and social success; our wardrobes and wives will speak to that.

Yeah working out properly and using actual science (i.e how when you work out you rip a muscle and the only way for the muscle to heal properly, and grow, is through the absorbing of protein aka muscle building blocks) to achieve results which align with your goals is definitely a stupid geed move…

    2. Grizzly_Fratams

I agree with this, and nothing makes me madder than watching some dumbass GDI who doesn’t know how to lift property show off, but I don’t see anything wrong with working out to stay healthy. Hell, there is nothing wrong with working out to get big if it is because you want to. GDI’s lift to help them get girls while some people just like to lift and there is nothing wrong with that, as long as it is good weight and you can remain normal enough to wipe your own ass and be athletic.

Needless to say, this website has slowly been turning to shit for some time now, and I think that this post is the case-in-point. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

funny i get it, it’s play on words. The ridiculous arguing in the comments is too much, if you want to argue about pointless shit then take your grievances to a place where people don’t give a shit; the TSM wall.

    1. Go rage or go home

Yea… I actually thought this post was funny, and I was amazed to see 72 comments that varied from “old money,” to steroids, to how Texas isn’t in the SEC so it shouldn’t count (who cares?), to how geeds are uncoordinated all completely unrelated to the post. Goddamit, if it’s a funny post, reply with a comment saying so. Don’t go on about your drunken tangents about something that you think is better, that isn’t what this site is for and it just starts online arguments with a faceless person behind a screen that you’ll never see or get the recognition of being “right.” It’s pointless.
