USA beating Canada at their own sport. TFM.

    1. Braingrenade

It’s cool. He beat a country that signs his paycheck. We all know the real deal.

If anybody on this site is supporting Canada right now, they need to be blackballed from this website… then lined up and shot.

If you’re going to talk shit about the youngest captain to ever win a Stanley Cup at least spell his name right you piece of shit. There’s no “y” in Sidney
      Crosby.

Are you fucking retarted if the team is based in America it’s American jeeze fuck you you stupid sack of unpatriotic shit

14 years ago at 9:40 pm
    2. It’s hard to call them American when probably less than half of the team is actually from America…

The Boston Tea Party was over 250 years ago. That whole city can burn and we’d be better off. Go marry a man there and suck cock, Good Frattributes.

    4. puap

yeah…im not very overwhelmed by a feeling of patriotism on this one. After a quick roster check….there are 6 Americans on the Canucks and only 3 on the Bruins. Canucks had 18 canadians, while the Bruins had 17. Patriotism is a pretty irrelevant topic when it comes to a silly NHL series. Its a really international sport and I definitely didnt pull out my American flag when I heard the bruins won…..but I also really dont give a fuck about hockey or know much about the topic

Yea Fratom Bomb…the Boston Tea Party was 250 years ago. Something else happened around that time too…oh, yeah, our independence being fought for and our country being founded. Idiot.

I’m not a fuckwit. I know the Revolution happened 250 years ago. Boston may have been patrotic See how many of those welfare-loving, assholes of society would support America now when it’s in some of its darkest hours.

They’ll be the first to bitch about the war, call Bush a terrorist, praise Michael Moore and say that our only hope is a Kucinich presidency.

In summation, I really fucking hate Boston. I’d rather see Canadians win a Stanley Cup than those fucks who can actually vote. I want them MISERABLE.

puap, from what I read both teams had 13 canadians. Either way the cup stays in the US.

  1. Brotastrophe

Canada steals one of our NHL teams; we take the Cup. Not exactly a fair trade, but it’ll have to do.

14 years ago at 8:57 pm
    1. Bro Webb

Canada didn’t steal the Thrashers, southerners just can’t appreciate the sport.

14 years ago at 9:19 am
    2. Brotastrophe

I’m a southerner, and we seemed to appreciate it just fine. Our ownership fucked us and the team over. Also, the $60 million transfer fee that the league will get seems to make the deal all that more suspect.

14 years ago at 9:39 am
    3. Fratticus Finch

Yeah, read anything about why the Thrashers left, and all writers point towards Atlanta Spirit (the owners). Plus that 60M will help cover Phoenix losses, though I expect them to be moving within 3 years.

So doesn’t this mean no matter who wins the Cup, the Canadians are actually still winning it?

Who gives a shit? Fuck canada. The name of their country doesn’t deserve to be capitalized.

I think maybe only the Boston fans won, but that’s just how I’m looking at it. I could be wrong.

Conn Smyth goes to an American (Thomas), best player on the ‘Nucks was another (Kesler).

Rooting for a hockey team comprised of foreigners located in an extremely liberal, blue collar Northern city. TFM?

Not everyone in the Boston area is liberal…ever heard of Nantucket? People from Boston have huge summer homes there. FaF.

    2. sigepscalpha

@Pledge Trainer Smith By that logic, you’re saying that if one loves America, then they must love everything about it. That’s analogous to saying that if one loves oneself, then they must love everything about it. So far, so good. However, what if one has cancer? By your reasoning, then one must love the cancer cells plaguing their overall well-being. The way EgotisticalWASP and most of the rest of us see things, “extremely liberal, blue collar Northern cit[ies]” and the geeds who inhabit such places are like a cancer that plagues our (i.e., America’s) well-being. I’m not willing to accept the notion that I must love things that plague my well-being.

@William Fratterman Call me what you will, but you’re still taking the side of liberal yankee geeds. Not sure if you’ve seen our set up at USC in South Cak, but it’s anything but geed. We’re not balanced man; one of the few traditional chapters left.

The fans fucking stayed and booed the Bruins as they were accepting the cup and then proceeded to chant Can-A-Da like them boasting their socialist country meant something to us. Stay classy Canada.

    1. broskeet2

I was just wondering the same thing. Why the fuck would you stay afterwards when your team just got their balls handed to them? Nothing else to do in canada? And booing Boston? That just makes them enjoy the asswhooping that much more.

14 years ago at 9:29 pm
    2. Fratticus Finch

      1. Pretty sure they were booing Bettman.
      2. I thought they were chanting, “Bettman sucks”

They were booing Bettman you idiot not the team, and I do recall them giving the loudest cheer to Tim Thomas when he hoisted the cup
