If chapters of your fraternity posted stuff as embarrassing as some of the posts and pictures I’ve seen, you would feel the same way.

13 years ago at 2:22 pmOur greek system is full retard, i’ll come out and say it. We have privately chartered fraternities that exist no where else in the country but our school. Our pledging process is incredibly painful but also incredibly short, only 10 days. My brothers are party animals, I was disciplined in the Army, maintain a 3.9 GPA and don’t party quite as hard as they do. I’m the polar opposite from most of my brothers, yet I’m still proud of every one of them. Despite all of our schools bs I’m still proud of my fraternity and this who’s better lower tier shit needs to end right now. We all are unique in our own ways but we come together as a fraternity and we fucking rule, the rest is details. We believe we are better than the rest but what does the rest do? They pick out a small segment of their population and ostracize them to feel better about themselves. Be better because you are better than you were, not because of how bad someone else is.

If Balanced Man, it takes even longer for them to get initiated, but they’re usually is a lot less hazing. Noone gets initiated the day they fucking join.

It’s sad, because they have a decent number of cool guys, but they joined the wrong chapter.

The good BM chapters haze behind the scenes and my brothers joined not because it looked like an easy process but for the other members in the chapter. I’m Damn Proud to be a SPE but wish the BM process didn’t exist.

As a Sig Ep who graduated from a very very respectable greek community I hate seeing these pictures, its like seeing your best friend wearing a shirt with a photo of him fucking your mom fully equipped with a shit eating grin. but they are my brothers and just as derek huff was on a whole ‘nother caliber than brennan, brothers wont always share superiority equally but they still are brothers. every big, powerful, actually-means-two-shits fraternity has these chapters.

13 years ago at 8:37 pmTraditional chapters get hazed for 8 weeks and get their letters. BMP chapters learn, live, and get tested (and sometimes hazed)for 4-6 months to get their letters. They all go through the same ritual process, practice the same cardinal principles, and feel a sense of brotherhood among their members. You are taught, mentored, guided and disciplined by the members instead of simply beaten for 8 weeks. BMP is a longer, harder, and more truthful examination of who should really get to where the sacred letters proudly. VDBL and any Sig Ep is a brother of mine.

Despite attending a campus that has plenty of geeds we are still able to remain at or near the top of campus. I am very proud to be a SigEp and push the limits of getting kicked off campus all in the name of bettering the quality of men in our fraternity.

All it is, is we publicly say we don’t haze and do education programs (on paper) By doing this our liability and homeowner’s insurance rates go SIGNIFICANTLY down by eliminating the threats traditionally associated with owning a fraternity house. It’s all a smart plan by our national chapter to cut the bottom line and get free PR. If you are a current SPE brother and think it is anything other than a facade to save money you are a god damn idiot and need to learn how to play the game. Have a couple beers with your Regional Director next time he comes in town and stop pretending to be serious so you can have a good time. good lord.

They also continually try to get the other fraternities in trouble. Half of their chapter is either black or mexican (2 of whom speak no English). and they are friends with the pikes. I guess thats a good match for them though. The one redeeming quality that they have is that they dress like fraternity men should.
