America once again ruining Al-Qaeda's weekend by taking out their 2nd in command. TFM.

Wow, another one dead. How about some real results, because last I checked, Al Queda was winning the war.

Those are real results. Maybe you should go over there yourself for a closer look if that isn’t enough for you.

Whether or not we’re winning the war in Afghanistan is certainly debatable, but Al-Qaeda is fucking toast at this point.

Ok then, don’t give osama bin laden credit for 9/11. since he didn’t physically fly the plane into the building.

      Why not?

He just masterminded it, just like Obama masterminded the Osama mission.

Give credit where credit is due is all I am saying.

Obama did not mastermind the take down of Osama. He may have gladly signed off on it, but I’m positive the military cooked that plan up.

This isn’t Nazi Germany, we let our generals do the fighting and let our presidents do the lying.

      Petraeus,

That is one the most painfully obvious yet smartest things I have heard on this site in a long time. However I am unable to condone the response these other fellows have allowed this tyrannical asshole to exude from them.

Last time I checked it was his idea to go into Pakistan, He signed the order, he followed the developments.

You aren’t helping your case. Bin Laden didn’t mastermind 9/11 alone, he had advisors as well. It was just his idea to attack the US, his lieutenants picked the targets and method.

This won’t mean much to some because I can’t say certain names, but ive got a few friends that were saying that they knew where Osama was for a year or two but could never confirm it with line of sight, but that all their intel said he was there. Obama wouldnt pull the trigger without confirmation because of the risks involved if we were wrong. So the head of the CIA and one other head (I don’t remember who) secretly met and decided to green light the operation with the understanding that if it backfired the CIA head would take the fall, and if it worked Obama would get the credit. So supposedly obama didnt even know the mission was going on until our troops were storming the compound. also understand this could be written of as a conspiracy, but if you look at the white house.gov page for the 24 hours after that fucker was killed they made something like 18 mistakes. Make up your own mind on the matter, but I don’t think they knew what the hell was going on.

“his idea to go into pakistan”

No. It was the idea of a top military commander. Obama has zero military knowledge. He does what the advisers tell him to do.

Yo Scbro, I see you keep trying to have conversations on here, but you’re sorely mistaken. The website you meant to go to was http://www.TotalGDIMove.com. Please go there, then proceed to go fuck yourself. Thanks.

The sad thing about this is that there are literally thousands more radical Islamic fundamentalists ready and willing to fill his role, and his death only justifies those zealots’ cause. One of two things needs to happen: one, we increase the intensity and break their spirits like we did the Japanese, or, two, we back out and play defense for the rest of eternity. I like option 1.

exactly, everyone wants the U.S. forces to pull out of Iraq but if we do then its almost as if we were never there, granted we did kill the top 2 and others of the top 10 but more than likely they will fill Osama’s spot and we will be exactly were we started from. It doesn’t make any fucking sense to bring our troops home when our work there hasn’t been completed just quite yet.

Fratostrophic, the mission has become so convoluted that it makes sense to bring the troops back. We’re over there trying to set up democracies instead of activly hunting Al Queda. plus most soldiers would like a break from 10 years of war. 12-15 month deployments are a bitch

^This. The only reason they attacked is because they thought we were too afraid to actually retaliate, so any time we retaliate it keeps them quieter.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If it kept them quieter then 30 service members wouldn’t have made the ultimate sacrifice earlier this month. Why don’t you just run back to the kitchen.

^ This guy is right. It’s not so quiet over there. Sure it’s not like it was during the invasion but it’s no vacation either. If you want first hand proof I’ll send you a postcard from Afghanistan when I get there in a few weeks. Seriously though who said it was quieter over there? The Food Network? Didn’t know they did the news.

Ricky and Tic Tack: ummm I would say the fact they haven’t been able to run any planes in to our buildings qualifies as “quieter”. never said it was quiet. if you read the comment you would have understood that I was agreeing that our service is doing good and honorable work keeping us safe. lay off the makers.

Well as long as it’s nice and quite back home that’s all that matters. Just don’t forget to thank a soldier, because our life is not always nice and quite. Have a good day

I hate to do this brothers, I’m 11B as well, but it is our duty to protect our citizens. Those 30 men that died were damn good men. The best. They left behind families that will always miss them.
However, I’m sure anyone of them would willing give their lives to save a civilian. You’re right though, nice in quiet back home is what matters. American citizens foreign and abroad come first, American interests second, American soldiers third, and infantry last.
The best have to soldier the responsibilities of those weaker than them. We have to stay in Afghanistan till the job is done. Pulling out too soon would mean that every servicemen’s death was in vain. The only way we will lose is if we lose the strength to carry on. Let’s not repeat Vietnam.

^^Thank ya’ll for your service. I’m not sure where people got that I was trying to say something against the soldiers and that’s where I got a little upset (read: butthurt).
Petraeus: Thank you for your support, and again for your service. What you said about leaving the war too soon is exactly what I’ve always thought, and kind of what I was trying to say. If we don’t have our military constantly working to undermine the terrorists, someone worse will come in to power when we leave meaning possibly more war/attacks and more tragedy.

^ totally agree with you brother. Sometimes it’s hard to put all my thoughts on this into a decent argument. Always glad to see a fellow soldier on here. Stay safe brother
