broskeet, I can tell that you don’t follow your own team. The Longhorns made a QB change last year and started Gilbert, who led them to an abysmal 5-7, and no bowl game. Instead of trying to make a change over the off-season, Mack Brown could not decide who to play so he went back to starting Gilbert. Obviously, this move worked out really well for him. The problem is with Ash and McCoy splitting snaps, for the time being, is that the offense won’t be as consistent. I believe McCoy will come out as the started eventually. The McCoy-Shipley connection will be back before it is all said and done. I’m sure they learned some great boofing moves from their older brothers.

While I go to Texas and did the exact same thing for my syllabus, I have to say that the rivalry is at best number 3, maybe even number 4, behind OSU v. Mich , The Iron Bowl, or Army v. Navy .
I can’t speak for the rest, but I graduated OU and am at Bama now, and the Iron Bowl isn’t as good. Best I can put it in texas terms is the iron bowl is every year like when ut and a&m are both having great seasons: a great game, but still not OU/texas
While both teams may suck now, the Army/Navy game is definitely the biggest rivalry in football. Each school legally hazes the shit out of their students for the entire year over everything related to the upcoming game.
Agree with BROabides. I’m at Wash U and the Missouri kiddies think Mizzou-Kansas should be one of the biggest games in the country. Until you’ve been to the Cotton Bowl you won’t get it. Although I will say that Michigan-Ohio State and Army-Navy are also top quality and in the case of the former do indeed pass OU-TX
