Bottom-feeding hippies protesting on Wall Street. NF. The NYPD hazing the fuck out of them with pepper spray. TFM.

Negative publicity is not well done. Fuck hippies. More importantly, fuck anybody abridging the rights guaranteed by the 1st Amendment.

^Agreed. I’m always a fan of seeing hippies get the shit kicked out of them, but even the dirtiest Phish loving hippies have First Amendment rights.

Hippies are retarded. The only real investment bank actually on Wall Street is Deutsche Bank. Other than GS, almost every I-bank is in midtown.

      @StayFratty:

Goldman is in TriBeCa, NOT Wall Street/Financial District

But yea, every other Bulge Bracket is in midtown.

Wow Beaurgard you might as well shit on the soldiers for putting their lives on the line too because they don’t get paid well either. Jesus Christ, if this happened in Birmingham, Baton Rouge or any other southern city you’d be sticking up for the cops there. Why don’t you do everyone a favor and shut the fuck up.

It might not be FaF, but I disapprove of that unnamed NYPD officer who did that to those women and left them to suffer

He’s not unnamed, his name is Tony Bologna. If you think I’m shitting you look it up, any search with “NYPD” or “Wall Street Protests” brings it to the top of the queue.

They didn’t get out of the streets you moron and they refused to listen to the police. Sure some of the forces used may have been a little forceful, but it was needed. Fucking commy.

Those rights only exist if you don’t abuse them by breaking the goddamn law while doing so.

^^ This site loves personal liberties except for when it is convenient to hate on others. How on earth is it morally right to make someone apply for a permit to stage a protest? You know just as well as I do that it wouldn’t have been approved. The fact that it’s “illegal” to protest without validation is ridiculous.

14 years ago at 7:15 pm
    3. Success

I’m not addressing the permit issue, the idiots blocked public thoroughfares and refused to comply with police as well as clashing with them. Guess what sparky? At that point your right is abridged.

No it isnt. Constitution is higher than any other state or federal law. You have the right to protest and assemble. You do not have the right to drive on a road. That is a privilege. There is a difference. Do you think America was founded on people willing to follow the law and do what it takes to invoke change? No, didn’t think so.

You can not infringe on others inalienable rights either. Such as someone’s right to life. Ambulance is transporting a patient, but runs into this protest or backed traffic elsewhere due to this protest; the patient dies because of the protest. It is a long shot, but that is why you need a permit for this kind of stuff. I’m sure the city would have allowed a petition for protest in a protester zone that would not infringe on other people’s rights. (Think Westboro Baptist Church, we allow them to protest, and they do everything legally and remain in their protest zone – same for political protests against Bush, Obama, or any other big names)

This is America. Even the lowest bottom feeding hippies should have the right to exercise their Constitutional right to free speech. Did you see the NYPD assault those women for absolutely no reason?

Unsurprisingly, it looks like the North still has no respect for women or for the rights of citizens to do as they please.

Beauregard you are a one-trick pony. We are all, Northerner or Southerner, sick of the North vs. South debate and yet you continue to bring it up, even when it is entirely irrelevant. Just stop.

Of course they have the right to protest, but the police also have the right to maintain order. If you actually watch the whole video you’ll see half a dozen cops trying to set up a fence and yelling at them to get back. The only reason this is an issue is because the cop in white walks up and blasts a six roper of pepper spray to that geeds face.. If you don’t want to be treated like an animal don’t act like one.

    3. PGT Beauregard

Every single video I’ve seen of these “Occupy Wall Street” douches, posted by the protesters and unbiased spectators alike, has shown peaceful protest. There were in fact police officers just doing their jobs, walking around with those orange barriers and keeping them off the street.

However, there was a significant contingent of police officers that seemed hell-bent on beating the shit out of people or pepper spraying them. These people didn’t do anything to warrant that kind of response. Not one of them. And there is plenty of video evidence.

Most cops are good people, but there are plenty of your typical high school jackasses who becomes a cops so they can hide behind his badge and do whatever they want. This is a perfect example of violating someones right to free speech and freedom of assembly.

I take it you don’t know the main purpose of these protest? What they are doing is occupying the sidewalks in front of businesses and subways/bus stops making it impossible for everyday people to use them. Their main purpose is to hurt these businesses and amenities. Cops deal with way too much shit on a daily basis to deal with these hippies. My opinion? Rubber bullet the shit outta them. They’ll run back to their shanties..

I’m gonna agree with Broman. As much as I enjoy constitutional rights, the first amendment states ‘the right to peaceably assemble’.

Protesting something in a dignified, peaceful manner is legal and a cornerstone upon which our Constitution was built.

Protesting to the point that you are fucking up other people’s day/plans by blocking traffic, causing disturbances, etc is when protesting becomes illegal.

Anyone who doesn’t agree is a fucking liberal. That is all.

It depends. How many jews are the nazis planning on moving in and out of that concentration camp that day? Do any of the nazis have important concentration camp errands to run? Did you ask the nazis if it was ok first? These are important questions to ask.
