Writing off dry-cleaning as a business expense. TFM.

      There is a chance of fraudulence charges if you do not know what you are doing.

    I created an account on this site for the sole purpose of telling you how stupid this comment is. It is laughable when college kids try to act like it is a “TFM” to be business savvy. Let’s touch on a few topics;
    A.) As a student, there is no way you itemize your taxes. Without a doubt you take your standard deductions. The benefit your parents gain by claiming you as a dependent far exceeds what you would gain by filing independently.
    B.) If you are referring to work rather than tax write offs, no company would let you expense your dry cleaning.
    C.) For those of you who think it is a “TFM” to leech off of your wealthy fathers, I have news for you. You are losers. If you are truly bound for success, go stand on your own two feet and earn it for yourselves. After doing such, you can work for your parents if you please.
    D.) As a general statement, not in reference to this post, please stop mentioning your intro level finance classes, making trades, your portfolios, etc. I laugh at your expense every time I see this. You are college kids, not fund managers. Maybe someday you will be, but for now go have fun. Get drunk. Chase girls. Worry about work later.

    Thanks.

      Holy shit, stupid, thank you. This is the best comment that I have seen in awhile.

      Enjoy that free lesson in humility, MKG. They must not teach basic taxation very well at the state school.
