It’s worthy to note that that list came out the year before Bama won the title in 09. And if I had to name the top 5, Bama would be on mine, but at least this list had a formula and stuck with it. It’s better than a Lou Holtz giving histch biastched opinion. Plus the list didn’t count the dozens of championships y’all claim from sources as credible as SI For Kids.
Bama does deserve to be on the list, but I stand by the choice of Oklahoma as number one. This is also very surprising considering how anti Oklahoma ESPN is (Musberger, Corso, among others). Though Corso has been picking Oklahoma the past couple of years.
I agree with bama being a exceptional football program. I’m not aware of the entire history of bama, but I know Saban turned around that program a similar way Stoops did when OU was trash in the 90s. Bama is ranked #6 when this came out, so they would no doubt be in the top 5 if this was published yesterday. So I think these writers are pretty credible considering the time the article was published.
If you want to argue that Bama should be the #1 program, then I’m not too sure if recent success should replace success since 1936. It would definitely be an interesting comparison though.
The “OU still sucks” thing is about as lame as the OU fans doing upside down Hook ‘Em Horns while we play some random team. I die a little inside when I see that happen, it makes us look like A&M/OSU/Tech. But seriously, prepare to eat shit Saturday.

I would love to haze the shit out of whoever fucking invented that piece of shit uniform. FUCKING multicam was what we needed in Afghanistan but the fucking pieces of shit in Bagram Air Force Base got them before us because I guess when you walk down Disney Avenue and have to salute a bunch of pieces of shit you want to look cool when you do it…
