Really…a hand grenade in the cargo pocket? You know they make pouches for those right?..but I guess the point of the post was to let people know you’re in the service and rocking cargo pants…
Brodyssius. Shut the fuck up. You’re a piece of shit and I think you know it. I think that your inability to grasp the point of his submission is a clear sign of your sub-par mental capability. Let me break it down for you: As a soldier, you are required to carry many different pieces of equipment, which necessitates the addition of many pockets and pouches to the combat-ready uniform. What he’s saying is that he is not a GDI because HIS cargo pockets serve his purpose as a soldier who is fighting for his country. Who are you to question where he carries his grenades? What was your MOS? Where and when did you serve?
Scotch Neat, let me break it down for you. As a Marine, I am well aware of the shit that can and often does go in those pockets–but I don’t PLAN on putting it in there, especially not grenades. Clearly you didn’t read down to the end of my post where I acknowledged the point of the post.
And since you’re curious, I was an 0321 and deployed to Iraq in 2006 and 2007.
Clasy, thank you so much for your services to our country. Do mailed baked goods handle the trip well? I was involved in a care package organization a long time ago and can’t seem to remember. I would love to send you one!
Calm down brother, it wasn’t meant to be insulting to a fellow service-member. I carried my grenades in a few different place, provided it was easily retrievable under duress–but not in a cargo pocket. An M-67 weighs at least a pound, and it’s pretty fucking annoying to run around with a pound (or more) of shit bouncing around in a cargo pocket.
Yeah, there were times when I ended up with a ton of annoying shit in my cargo pockets, but I never stepped out of the wire that way…
Oh, and generally my dip went in the shoulder pocket of my cammies…
Hell Fucking Yes.
