^no that’s still funny, keep telling yourself that hoss. Dude, you have Jack Daniels there, you lost some points in my book. Why don’t you kids start drinking more Woodford Reserve and Basil Haydens? Maker’s is pretty good, but step your game up.

Jack Daniels isn’t a bourbon. It’s a whiskey. And you should know that not all whiskeys are bourbons but all bourbons are whiskeys

    Take a lap.

Jack Daniels is a Tennessee whiskey which also makes it bourbon. It is still made in the USA, aged in new charred oak barrels, made from a mash consisting of at least 51% corn and is etween 80-160 proof. The only diference is that it is charcoal filtered before aging but that doesnt change the fact that it is a bourbon. Take 2 laps then brush up on being an American

Jack Daniels is not bourbon dumb shit, this is from their website…

      Is Jack Daniel’s a bourbon?
Jack Daniel’s is not a bourbon – it’s a Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel’s is dripped slowly – drop-by-drop – through ten feet of firmly packed charcoal (made from hard sugar maple) before going into new charred oak barrels for aging. This special process gives Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey its rare smoothness. It’s this extra step – charcoal mellowing – that makes Jack Daniel’s a Tennessee Whiskey.

KyfratDaddy, as much as I respect your name and your state that’s not true hoss. Just go to the Woodford Reserve Distillery, take the tour, and they explain in depth the process and requirements for whiskey to be considered bourbon. Jack Daniels is sourmash whiskey to be exact. Take a lap hoss, then make the trip to Woodford Co., and support the local cause. While you’re at it, stop by Frankfort and swing by the Buffalo Trace Distillery and get educated. GO CATS

Bookers is good shit, but if you want the best bourbon from Ky then try to find Pappy Van Winkle 20 yr. I live in Ky and you can only find it occasionally and it ain’t cheap.

I also live in KY and I’ve been looking for Pappy everywhere. Apparently they have had some problems finding mash good enough to meet their standards so they’ve only produced a very limited supply in recent years. I hear that you can still join certain clubs and get it through those. In the mean time, I’m enjoying some Elijah Craig Single Barrel. Good stuff.
