2. Got lasik at 20 and I am absolutely fine. Your eyes actually never stop changing soooo in those terms lasik at any age is reckless. Almost everyone who gets lasik needs reading glasses again at around age 40, no matter when the lasik is performed.
Fratlanta Lady, are you kidding me? It’s advised you don’t get lasik until your 21 AND your eyes have not changed in 3 years. Actually, new research is showing that lasik can be bad for you in that sometimes scar tissue forms during the healing process that leads to complications. Watch the news GDI.
Dad’s an optometrist, the General speaks the truth. The only thing I’ll add is you don’t want to half-ass your sight. Getting mine done within 3 years.
got lasik at 19 and got the opinions of the 3 best optometrists in the city before getting it. contacts aren’t GDI but dont start badmouthing lasik…one of the best things i ever did.
