Wait VelociFratter, you think the Union is a Downy kid? So the Confederacy lost to autism? Shit man, sucks to suck.

Luckily in the South, our autism distorts our perception of time. Therefore, it still counts down here.

Bush once made out with Osama Bin Laden’s older brother and said that “Some are born to greatness. Others achieve greatness. Still others have greatness thrust upon them. Saddam Hussein is one of those people,”. Watch who you idolize TFM.

So it’s wrong to admit that the United States has flaws and that we need to improve it?

14 years ago at 11:10 am
    1. Kitto

How is it false? When you look at our country’s crime rate, prison population, poor education system, poverty, political corruption, literary appreciation, and economy, it’s hard to argue that we don’t have a few things we need to work out.

On another note, it’s still a damn fine place.

Those seem like well-reasoned and factually based criticisms of America.

      But you’re wrong.

^^ All of those can be blamed on liberal communist pinko pledge fuckers like yourself. Eat shit and die like the members in congress that now want to tax my parents 401k so they can redistribute it to some crack addict with 11 kids all named after luxury car manufacturers.

Well, your criticisms seem to imply that America has flaws, which is of course ridiculous.

      So, you’re wrong.

Kitto: this TFM just established that it’s fratty to stubbornly deny fact-based criticism of the US. Yet here you are, leveling fact-based criticism against the US and expecting a legitimate argument.

Five steps to a perfect America- vote Ron Paul, get rid of welfare and let the poor die if they refuse to work as a mode of natural selection and population control, utilize every form of domestic energy (natural gas, oil, coal, and even solar and wind), build 20 foot double fences on every border, and lower corporate, income, and capital gains taxes. Then people spend more, keep jobs in America, root out individuals who refuse to contribute, lessen our dependence on foreign energy sources, offer a reasonable environment for corporations, keeping jobs and corporations based in America, and secure the country from violent individuals and criminals.

    8. TrickleDown

Not sure why I’m bothering to get in an internet argument right now, but fuck it. “Let the poor die if they refuse to work”? Someone’s been reading a little too much Ayn Rand in high school. You assume there are enough jobs that everyone who is unemployed simply chooses not to have a job. I fucking hate welfare parasites, but let’s not be so uneducated as to assume that being unemployed=purposely avoiding a job. I’ve been to the slums and I know people are like that, but not most. Call me a liberal (I’m fucking not, though) but as a true American I believe every person in this nation has a right to life, just as John Locke originally said.

So-called conservatives like yourself, born with a silver spoon in hand, give us true conservatives a bad name.

I have news for some of you. You can lower corporate taxes as much as you want, but not a single one of those blue-collar jobs that were formerly such a source of pride and power for our national economy in the last century and that have now been outsourced to China etc. are ever coming back to the United States. Sorry, ain’t gonna happen. It’s exponentially cheaper to pay an uneducated foreigner pennies on the dollar compared to a trained and skilled American worker, and that’s modern-day capitalism for you.

The real future of this country lies with producing a second technological revolution comparable to the one that began around the end of WWII and climaxed with the Space Race – when our government would literally throw college money at students majoring in math or the sciences. The individuals that were produced by that environment are now some of America’s top scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs. We need smarter, more skilled Americans. We need reliable and proven nuclear power, to free us from foreign energy independence. We need to address our national debt, both the spending and the tax code. We need to improve our internal homeland security and stop spending senseless amounts of money and manpower on stupid overseas shit. Finally, we need to reclaim the national drive and spirit that were so key to our success in that era, and with them remind the world that we are the United States of America and that we will stop at nothing to ensure the land of the free and the home of the brave remains the best damn country on the face of the earth.

The only thing to criticize about America is the fact that we elected Obama president – a mistake which will hopefully be rectified in about six months.

It was a mistake, but there was so much anti-Republican sentiment in 2008 that it was going to be an extremely steep hill to climb. I’m calling it right now, there is going to be a media-inflated scandal attacking Romney’s camp this summer and there will be dirty politics trying to get the HNIC reelected.

If that happens… I will be so incredibly disappointed in the people of this country. He is such an awful president, while I respect his office, I’m ashamed that we as citizens voted him in… while it’s not my fault, it’s sad that that’s what America has become. Uneducated voters, uneducated people, unmotivated, non-contributing leeches of citizens, it’s just… frustrating.

^ I don’t even know what to say to this. Every republican candidate except for Ron Paul spells absolute disaster for the economy and future of the USA.

By blindly denying this over and over again, you are only feeding into the culture of ignorance and lack of education infecting America that you just criticized.

When the republican voter base perpetually ignores the intelligent candidates like Ron Paul, it leaves no middle ground for the moderate voters who vote based on platform rather than right-left ideology – you know, the ones that actually educate themselves and don’t just vote for whatever candidate happens to be running on the political side they decided they were going to vote for for the rest of their lives.
