Man Proposes Via Airplane Banner, Plummets to Earth

Have you ever seen one of those incredibly awkward Jumbotron marriage proposals at ball games where the girl declines and runs off crying in embarrassment? Real or not, that shit is just uncomfortable for all in attendance. Well, the guy in this story says, “Fuck you” to Jumbotron guy.

In a sick twist of foreshadowing fate, he had to bail out of his banner-towing plane as it abruptly descended to earth. It’s still unclear if his fiancee-to-be ever saw the banner, and if she did, what her answer was.

A pilot was rescued off Rhode Island’s Block Island after being forced to ditch a small plane that was towing a banner with a marriage proposal, and his 8-year-old son helped rescuers track his location.

Okay, so once he’s released from the hospital does he move forward with the proposal? If this isn’t divine intervention grabbing him by the balls, then what is?
