A Company Is Making A New College Football Video Game, Try Not To Cream Your Pants
A company is trying to make a new college football video game a reality. They’re called iMackulate Vision Gaming (IMVG sounds far less ridiculous), and the project was spearheaded by two cousins that share a great passion for football.
From U Sports:
The main focus of the game is about is true customization and giving a community that wants a college football game back the opportunity to customize rosters along with uniforms and even stadiums. IMVG wants to go so far as creating the opportunity for the user to create high school leagues and truly stretch the boundaries of imagination.
The dream’s been outlined, but like any good product, there must be capital. IMVG has addressed this by going back to the very community it looks to psych up in the form of a Kickstarter campaign which begins on September 2. While incentives aren’t ready to be announced just yet, there will be 13 tiers of donations ranging from $5 to $5,000.
Should the Lewis cousins get the money, developers and everything else they need to make this game a reality, a very loose release time of 2019 has been given. However, the group states that it will maintain a very open dialogue with fans regarding updates and just how far along the game is in terms of development.
Their Kickstarter campaign doesn’t begin for another few weeks, but they have a YouTube channel in which they answer any questions you may have about the game.
This early on in the process, it’s hard to tell whether this will be a true replacement for the NCAA Football series, which tragically ended in the fall of 2013. I sure hope this is the real deal, though, as it really sucks to have to boot up NCAA Football ’14 every time I want get my ass handed to me by Johnny Manziel and Braxton Miller. Maybe this will even force EA Sports to make a new game! That is, if they don’t try to sue IMVG for everything they’ve ever had. We can only pray..

So you’re asking us to donate for a video game that may or may not be made by 2019 with no details about developers, platforms, designers, etc.? I miss NCAA games as much as the next guy but hard pass on this one.
