Alabama Tri-Delt Alum Tries To Climb Fence And Gets Leg Gruesomely Impaled

Sometimes sneaking into your buddy’s place works out okay (other than when the neighbors inevitably call the cops) and sometimes you go to the hospital. Abby, a Tri-Delt alumna of Alabama, learned about the latter the hard way after the game this weekend. When faced with being locked out, and still riding high on Alabama’s mauling of Florida (and an unreported amount of alcohol), Abby attempted to climb the wrought iron fence to gain entry. You can see where this is going.

She slipped.

Not enough to just get cut, mind you. She full-on impaled herself on the bars, as in “spike all the way through the leg” impaled. “Fence on both sides of her body” impaled. “Vlad the Impaler” impaled.

Her dedicated friends grabbed a stool for her to stand on, and they relieved the pressure until the fire department showed up. They ended up having to cut the fence apart so they could take her to the hospital for surgery.

Abby is recovering just fine. I think the real victim here is the friend, who is now missing a crucial part of her outer security due to Abby’s impatience. Thankfully, the friend can sleep better knowing that her fence works exactly as advertised..
